our digital booking platform for further training at Aurubis AG.

The digital catalogue on our new booking platform offers an extensive selection of over 60,000 classroom and online training courses from different subject areas. Everything in one place: Find your chosen course through Semigator in just a few steps in our Ariba purchasing portal.

Employees who don’t have access to our internal purchasing system can search for their desired seminar via a guest account. This is then transferred to an authorized person.

Your benefits when using the Semigator platform:

After a one-time registration, you don’t need any authentication data since the Ariba purchasing portal directly transfers you to the Semigator platform.

Use search terms and keywords as well as a number of filter options and a comparison tool for course offerings to find the optimal further training for your needs from over 60,000 courses from about 5,000 organizers.

Full control

Your personal account provides everything at a glance. You can see the status of your current booking and an overview of your past training courses.

The self-service functions enable you to manage, rebook or cancel your booking at any time.

One process for everything

If the seminar you want isn’t in the Semigator catalogue, you can have the Semigator Service Team add it to the platform for booking. This doesn’t interfere with the booking process or integration into the internal purchasing process.

With access to the purchasing system

Start from Ariba

Always start the Semigator platform from our Ariba purchasing portal. Click the Semigator tile under SAP Ariba Buying and you will be transferred directly to Semigator.

You have to start from Ariba to connect the two systems. This is the only way to ensure that the booking transfers to the shopping cart in Ariba at the end.

One-time registration & login

When you are transferred to the Semigator platform the first time, you end up on the registration page. This initial, one-time registration is required for creating your personal account to save your contact information and all of your bookings long-term.

After the one-time registration, you will always be transferred to your account’s homepage without having to authenticate again.

Your homepage

Start searching for seminars on the homepage by entering a title, search term, or a specific organizer in the search field.

The manual is available at the very top of the page and provides a great deal of additional information about searching, booking, submitting enquiries, and the self-service functions available to you.

Guest account

Login to guest account

You have the option of logging into the Semigator platform with a guest account and search for the right course from the nearly 60,000 offerings in the Semigator catalogue.

Homepage

Start your search of the Semigator catalogue on the homepage of the guest account by entering a title, a search term, or the name of the desired organizer in the search field.

The list of search results shows all of the providers and offerings available to your company that align with your search.

Further limit and optimize the search results using the filter on the left side.

Once you have found an appropriate offering, click the Details button to get to the detailed view.

Detailed view

The detailed view provides additional information about the course, such as the content and learning objectives.

When you have decided on a course, please carefully read the instructions in the section What happens after booking? below. This explains how you can transfer the course to a person who is authorized to submit the order for you.

Please note: The authorized person receives a link by email to call up and book the offer. If you have already chosen a specific date, make sure to click this date in advance and move on to the next page to avoid any follow-up questions. This generates a link to the desired date.

Email forwarding

If you click on the Forward event by email button, the email will open directly with a direct link to the event offer.

All you have to do is enter the recipient and sign.

Please note that by sending this email, you are also confirming your manager's consent.

FAQ

What happens after booking?

You will be automatically redirected to the shopping cart in Ariba. You then have to finalize the shopping cart and submit it for approval.

Your booking is binding as soon as Semigator has received the order from Ariba. After receiving the binding order, Semigator will register you as a participant with the course organizer. You will receive a confirmation email about your successful registration.

What should I do if I can’t find the training I want in the Semigator catalogue?

If you can only find the seminar you want online (e.g., through Google) but not in the Semigator catalogue, you have the option of submitting an enquiry for this seminar.

Go to My account → My enquiries → Start enquiry and fill out the form. Semigator will make the offer for this enquiry available for booking on the platform within the next two working days at the most.

How can I change my contact information?

To update your contact information, go to My account in the upper rightcorner of your homepage.

You will see your current contact information, which you can change as necessary.

What do the “Reserved” status and the “Waiting list” status mean?

Reserved: 

The organizer has given a confirmation of reservation or receipt, or indicated a “non-binding registration confirmation”. This means that it isn’t guaranteed yet that the course will take place.

Waiting list: 

The organizer has expressly confirmed that you are on the waiting list for the seminar.

How can I find out the status of my enquiry and booking?

You can see the status of your enquiries and bookings at any time on the Semigator platform.

Explanation of booking status:

• Awaiting approval: Your booking was successfully transferred to Ariba, but Semigator hasn’t received a binding order yet. Please ensure that your shopping cart has been filled out correctly and check whether the order is still in the internal approval workflow.

 Availability check: Semigator has received your binding order from Ariba and is now checking the availability with the organizer. This process can take sometime. You will receive an email as soon as the organizer has confirmed your registration.

 Registration confirmed: The organizer has confirmed your registration and you can participate. The organizer will send you an email with the registration confirmation and additional information.

Can I cancel or rebook my course? Will this result in any costs?

Yes, you can change or completely cancel your booking using the self-service functions on the platform.

How to change or cancel a booking:

  1. Go to My account → My bookings.
  2. Select the booking that you would like to change and click Details.
  3. The options for changing or canceling your booking are available under Participant details.

Please note

  • Changes through self-service are only possible after the organizer has confirmed your registration for the training. Bookings with the status Awaiting approval or Availability check can’t be changed or canceled.
  • Only one process can be started at a time. Additional changes aren’t possible during an ongoing process.
  • The Semigator service fee covers the cancellation or rebooking of your course. There are no additional costs, but the service fee remains even in the case of changes or cancellations.

Depending on when the course is canceled, there may be fees in accordance with the organizer’s general terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are usually included with the registration confirmation. If you are unsure about the cancellation fees, please contact the Semigator Service Team in advance at cs@semigator.de.

Why do we pay a service fee?

Semigator takes over the entire process for your seminar — from the order to processing and invoicing. This eliminates a great deal of internal administrative work for Aurubis. Nevertheless, the costs remain transparent and calculable.

In addition, the binding and standardized processes lead to a robust and consolidated database, high cost transparency, and better training management.

Semigator offers employees an up-to-date and versatile range of topics and an intuitive booking, approval and order process that aligns with our internal purchasing policy.

Can I book further training on Semigator even if I don’t have access to Ariba?

Every employee of Aurubis AG (Hamburg and Lünen) can view the training offerings via the Semigator guest account.

Only Ariba users can book seminars in Semigator. If you are not an Ariba user, you can either apply for Ariba access or be registered by a person with Ariba access. Just send an email with the event link directly from the platform to an authorized person for booking.

The authentication data for the guest account is available on the intranet.
